400 wooden cobblestone fragments from the last wooden pavement in New York City, work permits, inkjet print
Documentation of the destruction of a one hundred and fifty year old wooden street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Collected between 2012- 2015, wooden fragments recovered from the street are organized in a disintegrating procession. Adjacent to these fragments, a photograph of a section of the street and a series of work permits authorizing the street's removal hang on a wall.
